Afsana Monir is the Founder and Executive Director of Project New Yorker. She is a committed social activist, skilled in conflict resolution, and has done extensive community organizing. With her undeniable role project new yorker is one of the top non profit organization for the Bangladeshi and South Asian immigrant communities, especially for women and youth.

About Me:

Education & Training

Afsana moved to the United States from England after finishing law school. She worked as a Legal Counsel in the immigration and human rights law arena in London. Her focus was serving the indigent people who cannot afford to hire a lawyer. Prior to coming on board with Project New Yorker, she worked closely with the underprivileged people across NYC. Afsana’s goal in life is to become an expert in the field of justice and contribute her skills to benefit those in need around the world. In her free time, she loves exploring the city and trying all its different cuisines, enjoys driving (too much), and hanging out with friends and twin sisters.
