Ali Sorrels is the current Research and Program Assistant at Project New Yorker. Ali's goal in this role is to leverage available data to evaluate programmatic outcomes and emerging community needs. These insights are used to enhance program efficacy and contribute to outreach campaigns that forge stronger relationships with community partners and representatives.

Education & Training

Ali is originally from Colorado and recently relocated to NYC in the fall of 2023. Ali has spent her early career working at mission driven nonprofits that focus on providing services to women and immigrant communities. Ali’s goal in her work is to produce research that aids in developing more sustainable and equitable cities that embrace the multifaceted character of our societies. Outside of Project New Yorker, Ali spends her time indulging in all the food NYC has to offer and escaping the city for hikes with her dog, Charlie.
