I grew up in New York, more specifically The Bronx where I also attended CUNY Lehman College. At Lehman, I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in art. Being raised with an immigrant mother while navigating the complexities of the shelter system guided my decision to commit to serving New York. I have a background supporting children and families in school, community and other non-traditional settings. This has reinforced my interest in equipping children and their family with tools to empower as well as advocate for themselves and others. I am excited to serve as an NYIC Vista member with Project New Yorker as an ode to my commitment to showing up for the diverse families of New York. In my free time, I enjoy painting, taking meditative walks, and reading.
